flashing fans

"sign these"

From time to time someone comes along, and we feel a special kind of excitement, and something happens that lifts us out of ourselves, and we feel the urge to reveal.

it's shocking

liberating

empowering

While on tour with Theatre New Brunswick's production of Maureen Hunter's "Vinci" PHI receives his share of this phenomena. As audiences were thrilled with his portrayal of Piero- the father of Leonardo Da Vinci. While editorials read "Phi Bulani plays the role of the philandering Piero with a dashingly roguish, and romantic leading man quality- rivaling any Casanova to date", his performances however excited some female audience members to flash him their feminine attributes after the show.
On a particular chilly winters day, he received a triumverate of flashers~ giggling and jiggling.
His Response as it was happening:

"...this plays about mixed blessings, and simple gestures of gratitude, and-Ho-ly God- speaking of holy trinities- and gratitude- i'm getting flashed, just a second,
Thank-you ladies, you we're a wonderful audience and... thank-you very much for your--- standing ovations!- [laughter and giggles] i'm going to go sign their... programs"

a little later he reflected:

"...ahhh they're just having fun, its harmless, it makes me think of Whitman's 'i sing the body electric'; in this sense
of course it's about alot of things that have more to do with them, i just happen to be in view-[and then to the tune of o' lonesome me- he sings- o' lucky me! and breaks into laughter- stopping suddenly he soberly adds]- i just hope they stay and play safe, and keep themselves warm- lol."

Over the phone, from the road; this is a noph narrative.
