PHI'S A TRUE CHILD OF THE UNIVERSE-
He's a spiritually minded individual who thinks of a birthday as a spiritual celebration- or mass, he thinks of a birthday- as a "birthmas", and believes with a strong conviction that we honour ourselves with that kind of grace. Don't get me wrong he has a good time and opens gifts and all of that, but he does a goodly amount of meditation and personal reflection, if not prayer, at his special time of year. I just thought i'd share this because so much of the blog is about his performing self and his personal appeal on stage, i really wanted to suggest that it's who he is as a person that shines through that gives him that appeal and charisma on stage. He's a star child.
This edited picture of the painting by Christopher Shellhammer made me think of phi~ the star-child, combining a sadness tempered by perpetual youth and innocence and surprizes with the wisdom of an old soul.
